Scheduled Trips
At Go Explore Japan, our travel schedule is meticulously crafted to ensure the best possible experience for our clients. We understand that the timing of a trip is just as important as the destination itself, which is why we plan our regional tours up to two years in advance.
Our travel philosophy is to "follow the pleasant weather," allowing our clients to experience each region at its most beautiful. This means:
-
Spring Trips (March-May): This is the season of cherry blossoms (sakura). We schedule our tours to follow the "cherry blossom front" as it moves from south to north, allowing our clients to witness the iconic blooming in central areas like Tokyo and Kyoto, and even catching the later blooms in northern regions.
-
Summer Trips (June-August): To escape the heat and humidity of summer, we travel to the cooler climate of northern Japan. Regions like Hokkaido offer a refreshing escape, where clients can enjoy vast flower fields, hiking in national parks, and seasonal festivals.
-
Fall Trips (September-November): Autumn in Japan is a breathtaking display of color. Our tours are timed to follow the "autumn foliage front" as the vibrant reds and golds of the leaves move from the northern mountains down to central and southern Japan, allowing our clients to experience the stunning koyo season.
-
Winter Trips (December-February): To avoid the cold and snow that blanket much of the mainland, we head south to the subtropical climate of Okinawa. In these mild winter months, clients can enjoy comfortable temperatures perfect for whale watching, exploring cultural sites, or simply relaxing on the beach.
Our scheduling is deliberately designed to avoid seasonal challenges and natural events that can disrupt travel. This includes the heavy rains of tsuyu (the rainy season) and, most importantly, the peak of typhoon season, which typically runs from July through October. In some cases, we may temporarily halt our travel schedule during periods of extreme weather or other major disruptions to prioritize the safety and comfort of our clients. This proactive approach ensures a seamless and stress-free journey, giving you the peace of mind to fully enjoy your travels.
